LANIER UMC'S "THE PLACE" OUTREACH

The Place is a nonprofit Social Service Organization that has been serving Forsyth County families in difficult times since 1975 with emergency basic needs. The Place also operates a thrift store onsite providing affordable merchandise.

The Place has provided emergency basic needs in Forsyth County since its inception. They operate through the financial support received from donors, grants, thrift store sales and the United Way of Forsyth County. Donations are critical to survival. The Place also relies on many dedicated volunteers to help carry out their vital mission.

LUMC has several fundraisers, welcomes volunteers, and accepts specific donations of items throughout the year to be provided to The Place. Contact the church office to see how you can help with this outreach.
