LANIER UMC RELAY FOR LIFE 2009
READY - SET - GO~! WE NEED YOU ON OUR TEAM ~!
Please take a moment and:
- Go to www.forsythrelayforlife.org
- On right side of home page you will see purple box labeled "Top Teams" at the bottom of box click on "View Teams" - that will take you to the complete list.
- Scroll down to LANIER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH and click.
- Click on the "Join our Team"
There are lots of ways you can help raise money for the LUMC team including:
- Luminary sale – minimum donation $10.00 ea (will line Relay walkway)
- Rose Bush sale – minimum donation $50.00 ea ( “ “ “ you will take home)
- Send note to your email buddies – let them know you are involved
- Candy Bar Sales
- Car Wash
- Old Cell Phone Donation
- Collect Donations for minutes/miles you will walk during Relay
- Invite friends & Neighbors to the LUMC FUNdraiser 4-25
*Check the table in Narthex for ABC list of fundraising ideas, luminary envelopes, individual collection envelopes, and please ask Michelle Adams, Gina Bergan, Bev or Bill Neils if you have any questions or need help getting started~!
IMPORTANT - SAVE THE DATES:
March 27 SURVIVOR DINNER 7:00 Matt Elementary
Please let Michelle Adams know by Monday 3-16 if you know someone who would like to attend, or if you are a cancer survivor yourself~!
April 25 LUMC - TEAM FUNdraiser and Silent Auction 11:00 – 3:00
We need donations & volunteers – please check sign up sheet:
- Crafts / Quilts / Jewelry
- Baked Goods / Cookies (will be sold by the pound) / Cakes, pastries, etc.
- Silent Auction Items Example: (donations from local vendors, several smaller items that can be “basketed” together, or NEW items you would like to donate)
- Children's activities (Face painting? Balloons? Games? Water slide?)
- Picnic lunch (hot dogs, chips, baked beans, drinks, water – donations?
May 15-16 RELAY at Forsyth County Fairgrounds ~!~!
- 6:00 pm – Opening Ceremony
- 10:00 pm - Luminary Ceremony
- 7:00 am (Saturday morning) – Closing Ceremony
SIGN UP to walk the laps and join us as long as you can for an evening/morning of singing, eating, games, reflection, etc~!
